2017-01-01 22:20:40 Here it is. The moment you all been waiting for. The Reason Refill 2016 (released in 2017). At this stage I will release it as it is right now. Maybe I will update this package later.
The complete package comes with 3 different files. And you will need all three of them to work proper. Due to limitations of the Reason Refill packer I had to re-arrange like this (file size limit).
The complete refill is in total about 6 GB. Uncompressed the complete size would have been 10 GB.

While a lot of content I am using are sample based I might note that a lot of sounds are from the public domain (in case any one asks: I have written permission for files that were discussable to use). A few main sources I have been using are: - Sonatina Orchestra (public domain) - FreeSounds.org (public domain, not the CC licenses that require written permission) - Modular Sounds (part of FreeSounds.org but is being hosted as a separate page) - Looperman - Hammersound (a very old pd-library that never seen an update since 2004-ish) Other files I have been creating are recordings done at the Cultuur boerderij (literly, the culture farm) in Zoetermeer. Other sound sample sources I have used are: - Yamaha Tyros 2 - OPL4 Chip set (mainly FM tables) - Roland MT-32 (this one is very old (1987), but still has its charm) Tools that have been used to manipulate / recording samples: - Audacity - Wavosaur (mainly for setting loop points) - VSTs - Ableton Live - FL Studio This project took a year to complete. Since this project is pretty large in size, I am going to set up 3 links. So in case the download 'fails' you don't have to re-download the complete thing again.
Yet you will need all 3 files to make it work This package includes the following: - 526 new Combinator instruments - 4 new Kong instruments - 125 new Malstrom instruments - 1277 new NN-XT instruments - 1163 new Rex loops - 147 new Redrum kits - 271 new Scream 4 patches - 209 new Subtractor patches - 90 new Thor patches No Rack Extensions have been used. I want to thank the Release Candidate testers for making this happen. A Special Shout out goes to: God Of Rainbows Since the bandwidth is getting a bit out of control I am hosting the download through Google Drive for the time being (I will repost the original links on February). The founder of reasonexperts.com. While reaching the age of 42, Hydlide has more than 20 years of experience on the field of Sound Design, writing music.
Hydlide has specialized himself on the field of FM Synthesis. Coding the OPL-4 soundchips in Z80ASM was the highlight back in the days. Making music is done using Modplug Tracker, Renoise, Fruity Loops, Ableton live and on Propellerhead Reason. Most of the sound Hydlide creates is done mostly with built in plugins, since this makes it rather limiting and challenging at the same time. Dear Hydlide,Thanks for the shoutout.
I enjoyed going through all those patches. I wished I helped more. The last few weeks and months, I decreased my internet consumption a lot. That's a pattern with me. Getting into something, then abandoning it, then returning. Alas, I am a flaky artist whose mood and productivity ebbs and flows (with more ebbs seemingly).Forgive me for not being present for the unveiling and taking so very long to acknowledge the shout out. Rude of me.I mentioned a song that I wrote while testing that I should have put up MONTHS ago, but I'm never satisfied. It still needs work mix-wise, but I have to put a period on it once and for all.
So I just uploaded the current version, that I'm calling my finished song. The song incorporates samples of you, Hydlide, and me playing guitar.
Otherwise, everything heard is from your patches in RC1 and/or RC2.
