Ultratelephoto photography is easily achieved with your telescope by purchasing this SLR camera adapter. You'll need to take precautions to minimize vibrations, such as locking up the mirror if possible as well as using a cable release or remote control to fire the shutter. First, remove the eyepiece.

Next, attach the SLR camera adapter where the eyepiece would normally be attached to the telescope, and screw in a t-mount adapter to the opposite end of the SLR camera adapter. Now you can attach your camera to the t-mount and you are ready to begin taking pictures! Note: Your camera will need to be in fully manual exposure mode, although some brands of camera may also work in aperture-priority autoexposure mode.
10'LX200 EMC that will not 10'LX200 EMC that will not turn on,checked the fuse and it was still good. Are there - Meade LX200GPS 10 in. Telescope question. Most Meade manuals are available on their support site. My Meade LX-50 telescope has developed an electrical problem. When I turn it on it immediately blows the fuse.
Additionally, if there is a switch on the camera which chooses the focus mode, that switch must indicate manual focusing. Rated 2 out of 5 by Johnb1253 from Cheap - Not Made in Japan anymore This is not your fathers Meade #62.
This adapter is adequate, threads on fine and is probably just strong enough to get the job done. Unlike all of the photos I've seen, this has NO markings at all, it does not say Meade on it, and no Made in Japan label anymore. The box says Assembled in Mexico with imported parts. It seems thinner and lighter than older versions and not worth the premium price. The interior of the barrel is smooth with flat black paint that is scratched with some of paint missing near the ends, exposing the anodized aluminum.
It does NOT have a grooved baffle type interior. The exterior does have a nice attractive anodized finish. The main reasons I'm giving only two stars is for the price versus quality, and the poor interior paint. Buy one that costs less, you'll get the same or better quality. Rated 4 out of 5 by dranobob from Works like expected Fits and works like expected. Couldn't give it 5 stars because it had no instructions and I made a simple mistake that could have ended in damaging part of my scope. Install this on the camera (and your specific camera ring) first!
Then line up the camera/SLR adapter up to the scope, and tighten the ring. DO NOT twist the camera if it is not straight (even a small amount.thats what I did). The outer ring will lock down on the scopes threads and when you try to remove the ring it unscrews the threads from the scope. Caused no damage.but cost me hours to find a way to unthread the scope's threads from the ring without damaging them.
Otherwise good construction (metal). Rated 5 out of 5 by Ken from Solid build, secure fit. I've own Celestron telescopes and binoculars for several decades, and for the most part I have been pleased with them. However, I recently acquired an old Meade 2080 CAT, and I have to say it is a very solid and precise instrument; and the optics are sharp. It didn't come with all of the accessories, so I am slowly adding to it. This adapter allows me to use the eyepiece without the diagonal mirror, which is how I plan to used it for terrestrial viewing.
